Encryption failure

Bummer, working on a save file encryption and well did not work at all.

Well at least there is another way... Thinking of it now.

xenonova, engine completed

xenonova has it's engine completed. Hehe.

Now able to proceed forward with game development.
The code base is messy but the database isn't. 

Main engine: Yanfly melody 1.00m (With some scripts removed) and shanghai scripts.
Playing environment engine: Camaria (Based on database)

Unlike the older release of my games (which sucks thank you very much), xenonova takes a different approach in RPG experience.

Three notable features in xenonova

Centralized monster system - Control, edit and update from database. Map will send data to CMS and CMS will call the battle events. In event of patching, no scripts will be modified and though it is weird/odd to use database event, scripts can and will affect save files. No user wants to redo the game just of a silly script patch right?

I don't want player to see nill:nill player script error or something like that...

Centralized shop system - Similar to the monster system, it calls the database event and well you get the rest. It also include a "cash" shop, I mean a token shop. You don't have to pay me to get items... (Need fine tuning.. =.=)

Dedicated extra option menu - This menu changes the game appearance on the fly. Nuff said.

Lastly, some scripts are disabled purposely as they can cause instability or not to standard.
This scripts will be enabled when I have the time.

Game:Xenon nova, new engine, new rules.

Weeks ago, I stopped Hina mira development because of some issues with the core engine.
Well it was my mistake to use a early 2009 Yanfly redux engine and it lack some features and of course the compatibility with the new scripts. So I begin to update to Yanfly engine Melody but with much difficulty because the other scripts is old and I have to update the database again and check for events conflicts and re-evaluate the whole game to see if there's any bugs or something like that.

On to now, I found a new resource from a certain place (credits when I first release it) and I like it. The problem is I have to remodel the whole game and that will mean months before it will be released. So now I focus on the core engine and now the "game" looks great.

The player will choose the game he or she wants. Of course, the page is interact-able. Yay for that.

Looks cool, plain and simple, just like Articina designs.

Custom menu, cool looks thanks to Shanghai final fantasy 13 menu pack.

Virtually independent from RTP package. Every single graphic/images is customized.

Xenon system requirement: Any dual core CPU (1.6Ghz and better) and 1GB of ram.

Hina mira sucks performance from most computer.
Needs high-end CPU (Quad core) and 2GB of ram.
Even so I cannot be sure it will run smoothly. =P

Pathline build 68


Changes: Backend eventing, bug fixes and other touchups.
Future build: New maps, may not have new stuff except maps, quest and items.

Notice: From build 70 onwards, all save files will be INCOMPATIBLE with build 68 and older.
Reasons: Updated engine, new sprites and events. =P 

Pathline 0.0.4b


Changes: Status menu changed, more maps and some bug fixes.
Save files from v0.0.4 will work on the (b) release. Older version will have problems.

== Update from 9/7/2010 ==

A new release will be coming soon.
It will still have the same version but different build number.
Save files are usable though engine is updated but version prior to 0.0.4 will not work.

Pathline 0.0.4x release

Finally, a version that is"playable" and well, good for early release.

There are bugs but they are "hidden" while I fix them in later release.
*Skills are not done yet... Please wait for the next release.

The game should be done on November. I know it's long but I am talking about one man team making the game and still have to go to school and have a life to use.

Game development: Going well but...

To some it's "what is that?" post but to me it's important.
For frequent readers, I have "made" games and it's either not completed or canceled.

Now in development, Pathline 0.0.3

Though I have schooling and stuff that is practically useless, Hina Mira RPG idea is finalized. 
The game though is not finished yet (not even basic map), it has a updated databased and finally, variable query option is working....

Redo, Aristra

After keeping myself in a looooooop that Aristra is not going anywhere...
It's time to redo Aristra. Version 0.0.1 will be released sometime next week.



Yup, who need the story to play?
- Although the game name is the same, the save file is not compatible with the old Aristra. -

=Changes to expect=
- *Internal: Reorganized files, deleted unused images
- Solid no bugs (Prior to first release only!)
- New Windowskin, new character and everything else is new
- Home-made character creation page 
- Redesigned characters
- More to come...

=What not to expect=
-Different maps? Nope, Same name with a overhaul of the old one.
-Quest system? Same as always but different quest.
-Background process/events? Same with tweaks to lessen impact on the CPU performance.
-Database? Lets just say it's "copy and paste" from the old Aristra.
-Scripts? Look at the database. You get what I mean.

My reason for releasing this version

Including a SBS script and "Hotel" feature.
New options menu, giving more control over the design of dialog.
Updated status menu, giving bird-eye info about items.
Improved database and events.
A few bug fixes and some enhancements.

Well unlike Articina preview screenshots, this is the acutal program/game.

There are no known bugs or glitches durning normal game play (That is if not using any Admin NPC).
Those technical specs applies to the first installer (version 0.0.9). Version 0.1 will be the last release for the game as a preview.


And BTW, there is alot of changes in Aristra so this post may not reflect the actual function and story of the current game.
